Thai Visa is needed for Solomon Islanders

Currently, Siam Legal Thailand visa services do not cover the citizens and residents of Solomon Islands.

While we cannot process your travel visa request, travelers should take note of the followings:

Thailand Visa options for visits longer than 15 days:

 

TOURIST “TR”

  • Tourism purposes only, not for Business or Employment purposes
  • Allowed to stay up to 30 or 60 days
  • Extension allowed at the immigration office

 

EDUCATION “ED”

  • Study in Thailand
  • Allowed to stay up to 90 days and apply for extension in Thailand

 

BUSINESS “B”

  • Business in Thailand
  • Employed or Sponsored by Thai Company
  • Allowed to stay up to 90 days and then apply for extension of stay in Thailand

 

MARRIAGE “O”

  • Married to Thai National
  • Income of THB 40,000 or bank account of THB 400,000, or Combination
  • Allowed to stay up to 90 days and then apply for extension in Thailand

 

RETIREMENT "O" or “OA”

  • Must be 50 years or older
  • Pension of 65,000 THB or 800,000 THB in Thai bank, or Combination
  • Allowed to stay up to 90 days for single and then apply for extension in Thailand

 

DEPENDENT/GUARDIAN “O”

  • Dependent or immediate family of foreigners holding non-immigrant visas
  • Guardian or immediate family of a Thai child or student foreign child
  • Allowed to stay up to 90 days and then apply for extension in Thailand

 

***Citizens of Solomon Islands and foreign citizens residing in Solomon Islands must apply for a visa to Thailand in person at the nearest embassy or consulate of Thailand in Solomon Islands. If there is no Thai embassy or consulate in Solomon Islands there may be a consulate of Thailand in a neighboring country that covers the jurisdiction of Solomon Islands. Please note, application procedures and fees may vary by location.
